EKU Avation Goes Online

“On the radar” for EKU Aviation, there are several items of program growth. For fall 2014, EKU Aviation plans to roll out its newest BS Aviation concentration, Aerospace Technology, designed to be a degree-completion pathway. In addition to the aviation core courses and general education requirements, a signature strength of this degree is its 26 semester hour credits of aviation technical electives. This “bucket” of electives will allow community college graduates with heavily loaded aviation technical courses, such as Airframes and Power plants (A&P) or pro-flight helicopter courses, to transfer to EKU and receive maximum transfer credits. While doing so, these transfer students will still meet all rigorous EKU and State of Kentucky baccalaureate degree requirements.
